Programs and Services for Immigrant Women in Calgary

Interested in learning more about the services available for you in Calgary? Join us in this webinar from the Canadian Immigrant Women’s Association, where we’ll explore some of the ways it can support you when you arrive in Canada.

Participants will learn about CIWA’s history, the clients we serve, and the wide range of programs and services offered across our core service areas and departments. The session will also introduce the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) test, its purpose, importance, and where it can be completed as well as an overview of credential evaluation, why it is essential for employment and education, and the recognized organizations that provide this service in Canada. Additionally, we will discuss volunteering in Canada, the benefits it offers, particularly for newcomers, and how it supports community integration.
