Building Cross-Cultural Bridges with IBPoC Youth
Tuesday, February 6 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am
FreeJoin us this February for a series of free online presentations by experts, exploring the diversity of human experience through the lens of psychology.
Within the theme of Building Bridges, this brief presentation will discuss Building Cross-Cultural Bridges in 2024. We begin by looking at the shifting demographics in our country and the ever-increasing importance of acknowledging the barriers and challenges of providing proper mental wellness care to IBPoC youth in 2024. Recognizing the importance of racialized violence is key. We will also briefly discuss a couple of therapeutic ways to “pour into” our racialized youth. And, conclude with a concrete recommendation straight from Black youth. Building cross-cultural connections begins with our own inner work and a realistic view of the world that our Indigenous, ACB, Latinx, Asian, and Bi-Multicultural youth face in 2024.
