DESCRIPTION:Are you an English-speaking Ontario resident\, 19 years or older\, who’s been out of school? \nPlease join our guest speaker\, Clara Chao from George Brown College to learn about Academic Upgrading Program. GBC Academic Upgrading program is for students who want to continue upgrading reading\, writing\, math and science skills or to complete ACE courses (equivalent to grade 12 C course credit) to meet admission requirements for college diploma programs or apprenticeship programs. It is a tuition-free program funded by Employment Ontario. \n  \nTo be eligible for this AU program\, you should be: \n\n19 years or older\nfluent in English (all applicants will be invited to complete the AU entry assessment)\nOntario Resident (including Canadian Citizens\, Permanent Residents\, and Convention Refugees who received Notice of Decision & a study/work permit)\n\n  \nRegistrants will receive a follow-up email 1-2 days before the day of the workshop. \n  \n** To join this workshop\, please first register with YMCA Newcomer Information Centre at www.newcomersinCanada.ca or bring your PR card\, Record of Landing paper\, or Notice of Decision letter for registration and arrive 30 minutes before the start of the session.
