SUMMARY:BRIDGES 2024: Supporting Newcomers in a Challenging Socioeconomic Landscape
DESCRIPTION:BRIDGES 2024 is an annual Collaboration and Partnership Forum organized by the Toronto East Quadrant Local Immigration Partnership (TEQ LIP) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVIRTUAL ATTENDEES \nA link to access our live meeting room for the 2024 BRIDGES Forum will be available closer to the date. You can participate via our chat and Q&A opportunities and our workshop designed with our hybrid attendees in mind.\nFor any technical issues or accommodation requests please contact teqlip@gmail.com immediately to connect to a team member.\nThe 2024 BRIDGES Collaboration and Partnership Forum provides a venue for service providers from across the GTA to discuss innovative strategies and ideas to support newcomers through a time of unprecedented socioeconomic challenges and uncertainty. The forum includes diverse speakers\, thought leaders and trailblazing thinkers who will share new approaches to designing\, delivering and developing partnerships to meet the changing and emerging needs in the settlement sector. \nThe past year has seen many complex social and economic challenges magnified and converge with one other\, which has created new demands and challenges for the settlement sector. In response\, many organizations have developed innovative solutions and strategies to address these issues and support their clients. Through our plenary sessions\, roundtables\, and workshops we will explore new approaches and partnerships to issues such as the refugee housing crisis\, employment\, food security\, community programming\, and more. This will also be an opportunity to connect to other service providers and stakeholders in the region. \nWe are proud to once again return to hosting the BRIDGES Forum as an in-person event at the Centennial College (Progress Campus) Event Centre. \nWe strive to make this an accessible and inclusive event for all attendees – please do not hesitate to contact the event organizer regarding accommodations and accessibility needs\, or to request live streaming services if you are unable to attend in-person.
