DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Capital Rainbow Refuge in partnership with Refugee 613\, the Ottawa LGBTQI+ Newcomer Support Forum\, will address the unique challenges that this population faces in Ottawa and will provide a space to explore how we can create solutions together as a community. \nObjectives: \n\nRaise awareness of the unique challenges and barriers LGBTQI+ newcomers face in Ottawa\nUnderstand service gaps and opportunities\nLearn about LGBTQI+ services in Ottawa and where clients can access support\nLearn about trauma-informed\, ethical and sensitive service delivery with newcomers\nBuild solidarity and strengthen networks of people and organizations committed to support LGBTQI+ refugees and newcomers\nLeave with concrete ideas for better partnerships and ways to work together.
