DESCRIPTION:Join us for the new Global Perspectives version of our popular Career Building for Changemakers Workshop\, designed to help you leverage your degree and international experiences to build towards what’s next. \nAre you interested in making a difference in your community\, either local or globally? Would you like to build your capacity to create meaningful change in areas such as climate\, health\, equity or other issues you care about? Changemaking is about creating a more just and sustainable world for all – and regardless of your major or year of study\, anyone can grow their skills and capacity as a changemaker. \nDuring this interactive workshop\, you will learn 10 career building strategies for changemakers\, which will leave you feeling more excited\, empowered and prepared for life beyond SFU. The workshop is from 4:30-6:00pm\, followed by an optional 30-minute social time. Pizza and refreshments will be provided during the workshop! \nWho Is This For? \nAny students and recent grads with international experiences! This may include (but is not limited to) international students\, inbound exchange students\, students returning from study / work abroad\, and refugee and newcomer students.
