DESCRIPTION:Coming to Canada with an international education in IT has great benefits\, but it can still be difficult to find a place in the Canadian job market even with one. Bridging programs are specialized\, short-term training programs designed to help ‘bridge’ the gap between the knowledge and work experience newcomers have and the knowledge needed for the Canadian workplace. \nWe invite Claudia Manzo\, Case Manager from the YMCA Fast Track Tech Jobs Program\, to speak about IT careers in Canada and how bridging programs can help those with international experience in IT to learn important skills and adjust to a new job market.
