You’ve immigrated to Canada. You have skills, education, and some work experience – and you’re keen to get started and find a job where you can use those skills and talents. But how do you find that job? Where are the positions advertised? How do you build your professional network?

A mentor can help you answer these questions – and more. By talking to a mentor who shares your professional background and knows how the local labour market works, you can get a head start on your journey to success in Canada. A mentor can help you: understand Canadian industry trends, develop more effective job search strategies, build your local professional network and find ways of leveraging your experience and skills.

Our guest speaker Kathleen Leon from JobStart will talk about the TRIEC mentoring program and how it would help you with job search.
