First Things to Do in Saskatchewan

Moving to a new place is both an exciting and challenging experience, so it’s essential to be prepared. Our guest speakers from Saskatchewan Intercultural Association will introduce newcomers to the province of Saskatchewan and inform them about what to do in their first few weeks. Participants will learn about the following:

-Saskatchewan in a historical and contemporary context
-What to do in the first few weeks (essential documents, housing, banking, and applications)
-Common challenges to settlement (employment, transportation, cost of living, winter preparation, culture shock, and stress)
