Information Session: Tenant Rights

If you are planning to rent housing in Canada, this is an important session for you!
This session provides easy-to-understand information about tenants’ legal rights under the Residential Tenancies Act. Topics covered include tenant and landlord obligations, leases, repairs, tenant applications and the process at the Landlord and Tenant Board. Staff area available to answer questions and provide assistance and referrals based on attendees individual situations.
The Centre for Equality Rights in Accommodation (CERA) offers free workshops on tenant rights and housing law to our partner organizations. CERA’s workshops are current and interactive, and our staff can also provide direct services to clients after workshops.
